WP6: Development of Pilots and Pilots’ analysis Home|About the project|WP6: Development of pilots and pilots’ analysis These developed educational modules will be integrated into the learning environments of project partners using the developed online repository. Main objectives: to support the partners in their effort in planning, implementing and evaluating innovative and efficient approaches in DS learning, and to contribute to the popularisation of the DS among a wide audience piloting real cases (i.e. HEIs, companies). This includes: the selection of participants; the selection of suitable courses/study programs to use the repository; piloting the repository; and evaluating the process.

The educational modules elaborated in WP4 (IO3) will be integrated into the learning environments of project partners using the developed platform. The main objective of this process is twofold. On the one hand, it will support partners in their effort in planning, implementing and evaluating of innovative and efficient approaches in data science learning, and, on the other hand, will contribute to the popularization of data science among the widest possible audience by piloting real cases selected among different industries (especially non-technical ones).

The aim of piloting is to deploy and test the materials developed in WP3 for courses in different target groups and in different environments: the higher education lectures; the workbooks; the face‐to‐face training; the simulation; the testing of a methodology; and the gathering of data about the effectiveness of learning in the courses. Afterwards, it is key to analyse this data and obtain indications of how to improve the content or form of deployment.

The piloting process will be based on the resources which will be available on the platform, and in particular:

• – The Web Tour (the overview of the learning use case and the simulation of goals where applicable)

• – The Instruction Guide (a teaching note)

• – The Preview Video (a quick overview of the platform interface)

• – The Learning Materials (slide decks, tasks, simulation pre-requisites, and recommendations for a debrief)

• – The Simulation Preview (short views on the simulation from the teacher/instructor perspective)

The big advantage of piloting is that many non-data science viewpoints can be incorporated into the process. It also presents an adaptive environment for learning and communication among two different target groups (data science experts and non-data science experts) and offers a central focal point around which other project activities may revolve.

WP6 will produce the following deliverables:

• A report on pilot execution

• A 3rd multiplier event
